Victorian Vintage Fabric Paper Mache. One of a Kind Family Heirlooms. All have aged beautifully, have an antique presence to them and have a wonderful worn, aged look. Vintage lot of 4 handmade fabric paper mache Christmas carolers set in the Victorian Age.
These were made in the 1960's or 1970's. The fabric paper mache is nicely draped to give dimension to each child caroler and each has a glass bottle as the core of the figure that anchors the piece. The largest child measures approximately 12" tall and the smallest is 9" tall. All the figures have an amazing texture, beautiful rich colors and have been glazed all over to preserve their shape and vivid colors. The children's ragged clothing, dirt laden faces, as well as their innocence were magically captured by the artist.
